The  11-th  meeting   of  the  IEEE   Computer  Society  Subcommittee   on
Standardization of Floating Point Architecture of MicroProcessors is being
held in the Boston Area so  that additional members of the user  community
can provide  their  insights  into the  standard  under  development.  The
meeting will be held on January 29 and 30, 1979 at DEC, 129 Parker  Street
Maynard, MA.


The working session will convene at 1pm an Monday and extend through  Tues
morning as needed.

From 9am  to 5pm  on both  days, there  will be  available for  trial,  an
experimental Fortran  which  incorporates  one  version  of  the  proposed
standard. Attendees may enter and try  out routines which are known to  be
sensitive to properties of the floating-point conventions in use.
